DataSc in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Business Analyst to translate requirements into functional specifications for accounting systems. You will collaborate with Finance, IT and vendors to ensure solutions meet business needs.

The role involves UAT, process improvement, training end users, and maintaining documentation. A degree in accounting/finance/IT with 2–3 years in business analysis or accounting systems is expected, with strong Excel and SQL skills.

Qualificações

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in business analysis, accounting systems or finance-related roles.
• Good understanding of accounting principles and financial processes, including AP, AR, GL and financial reporting.
• Experience with accounting software or ERP systems such as SQL Accounting, AutoCount, UBS, SAP, Oracle or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and critical-thinking skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Ability to gather business requirements and prepare functional specifications and process documentation.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with Finance, IT and external vendors.
• Experience in system implementation, testing (UAT), troubleshooting and process improvement.
• Able to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.

Responsabilidades

Gather requirements and translate them into clear specifications for our delivery teams.

Responsibilities

• Analyse business requirements and accounting processes to identify system needs and areas for improvement.
• Work closely with the Finance and Accounting departments to understand existing workflows and operational challenges.
• Gather, document and translate business requirements into functional specifications for the accounting system
• Review and improve accounting system processes, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), invoicing, payment processing and financial reporting.
• Liaise with IT teams and software vendors to ensure the accounting system meets business requirements.
• Conduct User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to ensure system functionality, accuracy and reliability before implementation.
• Identify system issues, troubleshoot problems and coordinate with relevant parties to resolve them.
• Assist in accounting system implementation, configuration, upgrades and integration with other business systems.
• Prepare user manuals, process documentation and provide training to end users.

• Ensure accounting system processes comply with company policies, financial procedures and relevant accounting standards.

Requirements

• Project management experience or relevant certifications (e.g. PMP).
• Experience working with software developers, IT teams and external system vendors.
• Knowledge of internal controls, audit requirements and financial data security.
