Job summary

Henikwon Corporation Sdn Bhd in Subang Jaya, Malaysia is seeking a skilled design drafter to support the Design Department. You will prepare drawings and worksheets, create bills of materials, and issue shop drawings to manufacturing to keep projects on track.

You will engage in project design meetings with customers, system integrators, and the sales team for approvals, and coordinate revisions and documentation to ensure data is accurate and up-to-date. Immediate joining is preferred.

Qualifications

• Certificate or Diploma in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering.
• 3+ years of related industry experience, preferably in electrical or mechanical manufacturing design.
• Proficient in AutoCAD and Revit.
• SolidWorks experience including sheet metal, with medium proficiency.
• Ability to work under tight schedules and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist Manager in daily operation in the Design Department.
• Prepare drawings, worksheets, BOMs, and shop drawings for manufacturing.
• Participate in design meetings with customers / system integrators / sales for approvals.
• Coordinate revisions and ensure data is up to date.
• Maintain schedule adherence to >95% for drawing releases.
• Liaise with customers for technical clarifications.

To assist Manager in daily operation in the Design Department.

To complete drawings and worksheet within the targeted time (30% against the total delivery period)

Responsible for timely preparation and issue of work sheets, Bills of materials and shop drawings to manufacturing.

Handling project design meetings and close interaction with customers / system integrators / sales team for drawing approvals and execution of the projects.

To work closely with Sales Personnel and Head of Production in order to meet the dateline of each project.

To be responsible for all filing of project drawings, work sheet (both hard & soft copy) and other relevant documents are all in order and up to date.

To ensure all revisions are controlled.

To ensure all required drawings, work sheet and required data are passed to the respective department as per agreed dateline.

To ensure that any request from internal staff for drafting services, e.g. shop drawing for customers approval, B.O.Q and other relevant drawings, should be forwarded “Droughting Request”.

To liaise with customers on any requirements on technical clarification from the customers.

Maintain a schedule adherence to > 95 % for drawing release.

Prepare a holistic BOM for all projects maintain material shortfall < 1%.

Support and involvement in new product developments.

Requirements:

Qualification

A recognized Certificate /Diploma or Advance Diploma in Electrical/ MechanicalEngineering

Experience

At least 3 years working experience in a related industry, preferably in electrical or mechanical manufacturing design.

Skills

Able to operate AutoCAD and Revit efficiently.

Ability to operate SolidWorks including Sheetmetal with at least medium proficiency.

Result-oriented and able to perform well under tight schedule.
