Job summary

ARKITEK TAN & TAN SDN BHD is seeking a Building Surveyor/As-Built Surveyor to lead site survey activities for an ongoing project in Pahang. You will perform accurate measurements, verify existing site conditions, and contribute to the preparation of as-built drawings.

You will work closely with our drafting team in Kota Damansara, translating field observations into precise sketches and CAD drawings, while maintaining meticulous survey records and coordinating with the project team as needed.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Building Surveying or related field.
• Experience in building surveying, site measurement, or as-built documentation.
• Able to read and understand architectural drawings.
• Able to take accurate site measurements and translate into sketches.
• Familiar with AutoCAD or similar drawing software.
• Valid driving licence and own transportation.
• Willing to undertake frequent site visits.

Responsibilities

• Conduct site visits and detailed measurements of existing buildings and site conditions.
• Verify existing dimensions, layouts, openings, walls, structures, finishes and other relevant building elements.
• Review drawings provided by our office and verify them against actual site conditions.
• Identify discrepancies between existing drawings and actual site conditions.
• Record site measurements, photographs and relevant observations systematically.
• Provide accurate sketches, mark-ups and survey information to our drafting team.
• Work closely with our architectural draftsmen in Kota Damansara to update and prepare as-built drawings.
• Revisit sites where necessary to clarify or verify measurements and information.
• Maintain proper records of survey information and completed areas.
• Coordinate with the project team to ensure survey information is complete and sufficiently accurate for drawing production.

Job description

The successful candidate will be responsible for carrying out site surveys and measurements of existing buildings, working closely with our architectural drafting team based in Kota Damansara. The main objective of the role is to verify existing site conditions and provide accurate information for the preparation and updating of as-built drawings.

Key responsibilities

Conduct site visits and detailed measurements of existing buildings and site conditions.

About you

Diploma / Degree / Certificate in Building Surveying, Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction or a related field.

Relevant experience in building surveying, site measurement, as-built documentation or architectural drafting.

Able to read and understand architectural and building drawings.

Good understanding of building construction and existing building conditions.

Able to take accurate site measurements and translate site conditions into clear sketches / mark‑ups.

Familiar with AutoCAD or other relevant drawing software.

Good attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies between drawings and actual site conditions.

Able to work independently on site and communicate effectively with the office drafting team.

Possess a valid driving licence and own transportation.

Willing to undertake frequent site visits as required by the project.
