Job summary

C & P Builder Sdn Bhd is seeking a qualified Quantity Surveyor in Malaysia with a Diploma/Degree in QS, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or related field and at least 3 years in construction. You will prepare BOQs, evaluate bids, manage contracts, claims and final accounts while liaising with clients and subcontractors.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and MS Office is required; familiarity with PAM, PWD/JKR or CIDB is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Civil Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 3 years of working experience in the construction industry.
• Experience or knowledge in Civil & Structural (C&S) works is an added advantage.
• Strong knowledge of contract administration, tendering and cost control.
• Familiar with construction drawings, specifications and contract documents.
• Experience in handling progress claims, variation orders and final accounts.
• Good negotiation, communication and analytical skills.
• Able to work independently and meet tight deadlines.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with PAM, PWD/JKR or CIDB standard forms of contract is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Prepare tender documents, cost estimation and bill of quantities (BOQ).
• Evaluate subcontractor quotations and prepare comparison reports.
• Handle contract administration and ensure compliance with contract requirements.
• Prepare and submit progress claims, variation orders (VO) and final accounts.
• Monitor project costing, budget and expenditure control.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, subcontractors and internal project teams.
• Verify subcontractor claims and payment certification.
• Maintain proper contract documentation and records.
• Assist in project cost analysis and reporting.
• Support project team in contractual and commercial matters.
