Job summary

Bidfood Malaysia Sdn Bhd in Shah Alam seeks a Branch Manager to oversee the HQ branch, covering Logistics, Warehouse, and Customer Service, ensuring coordinated operations, safety, and regulatory compliance.

You will translate objectives into actionable plans, budgets, and KPIs, report to the CEO, and lead department heads while collaborating with Sales, Purchasing, and Finance to deliver reliable service and optimal inventory management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years’ experience in logistics, warehouse, distribution, customer service, or branch operations, including at least 3 years in a managerial role.
• Proven ability to lead multiple operational functions, manage KPIs and budgets, and improve productivity, service levels, and cost efficiency.
• Good knowledge of warehouse operations, transport management, inventory control, cold-chain practices, food safety, and occupational safety requirements.
• Strong leadership, communication, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and ERP or warehouse management systems; strong data and reporting skills are an advantage.
• Able to respond to operational requirements outside normal working hours when necessary.

Responsibilities

• Lead HQ branch operations and ensure Logistics, Warehouse, and Customer Service work together to meet business and customer requirements.
• Translate Company objectives into operational plans, service standards, budgets, and KPIs, and report branch performance to the CEO.
• Oversee delivery planning, fleet utilization, route efficiency, transport costs, and on-time delivery performance.
• Ensure vehicles, drivers, and delivery activities comply with safety, legal, and Company requirements; review service failures and implement corrective actions.
• Oversee receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch operations to ensure accuracy, productivity, product quality, and timely order fulfilment.
• Maintain inventory accuracy and control stock damage, loss, expiry, and wastage while ensuring proper cold-chain, hygiene, food safety, and warehouse safety practices.
• Ensure customer orders, enquiries, complaints, returns, and service issues are handled accurately and within agreed service standards.
• Work closely with Sales, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Finance, and other departments to resolve operational issues and improve the overall customer experience.
• Lead department heads, supervisors, and operational teams by setting clear expectations, reviewing performance, coaching employees, and building accountability.
• Plan manpower, work schedules, training, and resources according to operational volume while maintaining productivity and employee safety.
• Ensure branch operations comply with Company SOPs, food safety requirements, occupational safety standards, and applicable laws and regulations.
• Identify operational risks and improvement opportunities, lead corrective actions and process improvements, and prepare regular management reports.
