Job summary

GD Express in Nilai is seeking a dynamic Branch Head to lead the branch's operations and business performance, ensuring efficient delivery, excellent customer service, and high-performing team leadership in a fast-paced logistics environment.

You will manage end-to-end branch activities including recruitment, KPI monitoring, cost control, safety compliance, and customer satisfaction, while identifying new customers to accelerate regional growth and profitability.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management.
• Minimum 2 years of working experience in courier/logistics/related industry.
• Experience in leading or supervising a team is an added advantage.
• Familiar with branch operations, service quality, and operational KPI management.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Deploy continuous improvement to drive productivity and reduce costs while delivering quality customer service.
• Manage full employee and contract driver lifecycle from recruitment to resignation, adhering to policies and laws.
• Identify and secure new customers to support rapid business expansion.
• Oversee resource allocation including personnel, equipment and facilities for optimal utilization.
• Monitor KPIs such as on-time deliveries, delivery accuracy, customer satisfaction, and costs; take corrective actions as needed.
• Ensure branch and staff safety, manage security tools, and maintain cleanliness and appurtenance.
• Collaborate with other departments, submit timely reports, and manage staff supplies.
• Oversee activities of hired agents and GDEX POP services within the branch.
• Perform other sales activities or projects as assigned.

Key responsibilities

Requirements / Skills

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field

Minimum 2 years of working experience in the courier, logistics, transportation, or related industry

Experience in leading or supervising a team is an added advantage

Familiar with branch operations, service quality, and operational KPI management

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Good interpersonal, communication, and customer service skills

Computer literate, with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Able to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced working environment
