Job summary

GD Express is seeking an IT Infrastructure Officer to ensure the availability, reliability and performance of our IT infrastructure, including servers, networks, virtualization, cloud and backup environments.

The role includes daily administration of Windows and Linux servers, monitoring, backup validation, incident support, patching and participation in DR/BCP exercises. Candidates should have a IT-related degree, 1–3 years' experience, and strong problem‑solving and communication skills.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Network Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 1–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure, system administration, network support or related areas.
• Basic knowledge of Active Directory, DNS & DHCP
• Backup & Recovery Solutions
• Network Fundamentals & Troubleshooting
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Positive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to work independently.
• Willing to travel for branch support and participate in after-hours support when required.
• Microsoft, Azure Fundamentals, AWS Cloud Practitioner, CCNA or ITIL Foundation certifications are an added advantage.

Responsibilities

• Support and maintain Windows Server and Linux Server environments.

• Monitor and verify backup jobs and assist in restoration testing activities.
• Provide first-level support for server, network, cloud and infrastructure-related incidents.
• Assist in patch management, software deployments and system upgrades.
• Support Hyper-Converged Infrastructure (HCI), virtualization platforms and cloud services under the guidance of Infrastructure Executives.
• Monitor infrastructure alerts and escalate issues when necessary.
• Assist in Disaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity Planning (BCP) exercises.
• Coordinate with vendors and service providers for support and maintenance activities.
• Participate in infrastructure projects, deployments and technology enhancement initiatives.
• Undertake ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Infrastructure Executive or Head of IT Infrastructure.

Requirements & Qualifications
