Job summary

MAN Truck & Bus Malaysia is seeking a Branch Manager to lead the service outlet, drive market development and ensure strong customer satisfaction. You will manage key customers, develop new business channels, and oversee day-to-day operations from appointment to invoicing, while aligning with SCP and quality standards.

The role requires a commercial/technical degree, several years in a similar leadership position in the commercial vehicles sector, and a valid Commercial Driving License.

Qualifications

• Commercial degree and/or technical degree with additional commercial training/certification.
• Several years of work experience in a comparable position, preferably in the commercial vehicles industry.
• Familiar with Service Core Processes (SCP).
• Familiar MS-Office (intermediate PowerPoint, Excel, Word).
• Driver’s license (Truck, Bus, Van) with Commercial Driving License (GDL).

• Manage the MAN service outlet to targets and enforce regulations.
• Initiate branch development activities including product, parts, and services.
• Improve service processes and KPI-driven productivity.

Job description

Key responsibilities in Service-Core-Process

Customer & Market

Ensure active interaction with the market and that full use is made of market potential.

Ensure customer satisfaction.

Take care of key customers personally and acquire new customers.

External acquisition of orders for the workshop.

Support planning and implementing of workshop marketing.

New Channel Business Development (i.e. Mobile Service).

Customer Outstanding follow-up and collections of dues.

Carry out day to day operations in accordance with Service Core Process from appointment to invoicing.

Organization & Management

Prepare and present the annual business plan, budget investment plan, staffing, remuneration changes and upgrade.

Manage the MAN service outlet in accordance with agreed targets and economic viability and comply with legal requirements and regulations.

Initiate activities related to the development of the branch, include active launch of product, parts assortment and services.

Improve service processes continuously and increase productivity and service quality which includes Own Retail Key Performance Indicators (KPI) focusing on Utilization & Efficiency.

Organize and manage the MAN workshop in accordance with the relevant quality guidelines (MAN Standards, ISO norms etc).

Recommendation of decision on goodwill and credit worthiness.

Internal and external reporting /reporting indicators.

Ensure compliance with employer obligations (statutory requirements, MAN guidelines, occupational health and safety and environmental protection).

Contact for audit processes.

Handle warranty claims, recommend decissions on free repairs and financing regarding goodwill fund for approval.

To secure, increase and maintain healthy portfolio of Repair and Maintainance Contact (RMC).

Implement , adapt and participate in cross functional team across the branch and MAN network to ensure business sustainability.

Feedback & People Management

Respond to customer feedback (complaint management) and new product / services establishment.

Pass on results from customer surveys to staff and plan actions as required.

Lead employees (i.e employee appraisals, performance improvement programs and motivation driver).

Promote customer-oriented behaviour (i.e Customer Focus, Customer First).

Ensure that staff receive training and further education

Take responsibility for organizing and delivering training for apprentices.

Maintain internal communication.

Job Requirements

Commercial degree and/or technical degree with additional commercial training/certification.

Several years of work experience in comparable position, preferably in commercial vehicles industry.

Familiar with Service Core Processes (SCP).

Familiar MS-Office (competent in MS Powerpoint, MS Excel and MS Word to intermediate level).

Driver’s license (Truck, Bus, Van) with Commercial Driving License (GDL).
