About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to lead our retail operations at our Kuala Kangsar, Perak location. Reporting to senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of the branch, ensuring exceptional customer service, driving sales performance, and maintaining operational excellence. This is a full-time position that offers the opportunity to make a significant impact on the success of our store and contribute to the broader growth strategy of Manjoy Gadget Malaysia Sdn Bhd. As Branch Manager, you will be the driving force behind your store's performance, leading a team of dedicated retail professionals to deliver outstanding results and create an engaging shopping experience for our customers.

Key responsibilities

Manage day-to-day branch operations, including opening and closing procedures, stock management, and facility maintenance to ensure smooth and efficient functioning

Lead, supervise, and motivate a team of retail staff, providing coaching, training, and performance feedback to foster professional development and high engagement

Drive sales performance and revenue targets by implementing effective sales strategies, promoting products, and analysing customer trends and market opportunities

Maintain exemplary customer service standards, ensuring all customers receive prompt, professional, and courteous assistance throughout their shopping experience

Oversee inventory management, including stock level monitoring, ordering, receiving, and stock rotation to minimise waste and ensure product availability

Monitor and manage branch budget, expenses, and profitability, ensuring cost controls are in place and financial objectives are met

Implement and maintain visual merchandising standards, ensuring products are displayed attractively and in accordance with company guidelines

Recruit, hire, and retain quality team members whilst ensuring compliance with employment regulations and company policies

Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate company updates, sales targets, and operational procedures

Address customer complaints and concerns professionally and promptly, working towards satisfactory resolutions

Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and security regulations, maintaining a safe working environment for staff and customers

Liaise with head office on performance metrics, reporting, and strategic initiatives to support overall company objectives

What we're looking for

Minimum 3-5 years of retail management experience, preferably in consumer electronics, gadgets, or similar retail environment

Proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales targets and driving profitability in a retail setting

Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate, develop, and retain staff

Excellent customer service orientation with a commitment to delivering exceptional experiences

Proficiency in retail management systems, point-of-sale (POS) software, and Microsoft Office applications

Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers, staff, and senior management

Financial acumen with the ability to manage budgets, monitor expenses, and analyse financial reports

Problem-solving mindset with the ability to make sound decisions under pressure and adapt to changing circumstances

Knowledge of merchandising principles and retail best practices

Flexibility to work retail hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays as required

Fluency in Malay and English (both written and spoken); Mandarin is a plus

Valid driving licence and reliable transportation preferred
