Qualifications

About the role

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Branch Manager to lead our retail operations at Manjoy Gadget Malaysia in Seri Manjung, Perak. This is a full-time position that offers a fantastic opportunity to manage a thriving gadget retail branch and drive business success in the local market. As Branch Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, leading a team of retail staff, and ensuring excellent customer service whilst achieving sales targets and profitability goals. This role is pivotal to the success of our retail operations and offers significant scope for career development within a growing retail organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee daily branch operations including stock management, store cleanliness, visual merchandising and compliance with company policies and procedures
• Lead, motivate and manage a team of retail staff, providing training, performance management and career development opportunities
• Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets and key performance indicators for the branch
• Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with head office to ensure adequate stock of gadgets and accessories
• Deliver exceptional customer service standards and ensure all team members provide outstanding customer experiences
• Handle customer complaints and enquiries professionally, resolving issues to maintain customer satisfaction and loyalty
• Manage branch budgets, control operating costs and maximise profitability
• Conduct regular staff meetings and maintain effective communication with head office management
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and security regulations within the store
• Analyse sales data and customer feedback to identify opportunities for improvement and growth

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years' experience in retail management, preferably in the electronics, gadgets or consumer products sector
• Proven track record of achieving sales targets and driving business growth in a retail environment
• Strong leadership and people management skills with the ability to motivate and develop team members
• Excellent customer service orientation and ability to build customer relationships
• Sound knowledge of retail operations including inventory management, visual merchandising and stock control
• Proficiency in using point-of-sale (POS) systems and retail management software
• Strong numerical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and manage budgets
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia; additional language skills are advantageous
• Problem-solving ability and flexibility to adapt to changing business needs
• Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays as required by the retail environment
• Knowledge of gadgets, technology products and consumer electronics is desirable
