Job summary

Agrobank, a government-owned bank focused on agricultural finance, seeks a Branch Manager to lead a Malaysia-wide branch network. You will drive strategic plans, ensure regulatory compliance, optimize operations, and grow profitability through customer-centric banking and cross-selling while coaching staff and maintaining asset quality.

The role requires deep knowledge of branch operations, risk management, and banking regulations, with a strong emphasis on leadership and performance measurement

Qualifications

• Leadership across bank branch operations.
• Experience in managing multi-disciplinary teams and customer service.
• Strong understanding of regulatory compliance and risk management.
• Ability to set and monitor KPIs for staff and branch performance.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute strategic plans that align with Agrobank's objectives, focusing on growth, customer satisfaction, and profitability.
• Implement innovative strategies to stay competitive and adapt to industry trends.
• Identify growth opportunities and market trends to stay ahead in banking.
• Drive profitability through relationship building and cross-selling while ensuring prudent spending and returns to shareholders.
• Lead Financing Review Committee and sales meetings per terms of reference.
• Oversee all branch operations including distribution, customer service, HR, administration and sales.
• Ensure high-quality assets and sustainable earnings aligned with risk appetite.
• Supervise financing accounts: credit review, collections, and credit recovery to maintain asset quality.
• Ensure compliance with policies and guidelines from BNM, MOA, and other authorities.
• Monitor KPIs and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Understand MO138, MO01, MO134 and related manuals; AMLATFA compliance.
