Jora Malaysia is seeking a Boiler and Utilities Operator to operate, start up, and monitor boiler systems in line with SOPs and safety standards. The role includes controlling parameters, supporting steam and utility systems, and maintaining compliance across the boiler house.
The position requires daily testing of boiler water, chemical dosing management, and routine maintenance of related equipment, with close liaison to production for steam demand and process coordination.

1. Operate, start up, shut down, and monitor boiler systems in accordance with approved SOPs, DOSH requirements, and safety standards.
2. Control and monitor boiler operating parameters including pressure, temperature, water level, combustion efficiency, and steam output.
3. Support the operation and maintenance of steam distribution, compressed air, water supply, and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) systems to meet production needs.
1. Conduct boiler water quality testing and maintain chemical parameters such as TDS, hardness, pH, blowdown, and softener system performance.
2. Manage chemical dosing and ensure safe receiving, storage, handling, and inventory control of water treatment chemicals, diesel, petrol, and LPG.
1. Perform daily inspections, housekeeping, cleaning, basic repairs, and preventive maintenance on boilers, steam pipelines, valves, compressors, forklifts, chainsaws, and related utility equipment.
2. Identify, troubleshoot, and respond promptly to boiler breakdowns, utility system faults, or abnormal operating conditions, escalating critical issues when necessary.
1. Ensure full compliance with DOSH, safety, environmental, and company regulations, including preparation and coordination of statutory inspections, audits, and certifications.
2. Maintain boiler house, compressor room, and surrounding utility areas in a clean, safe, organized, and compliant condition at all times.
3. Ensure all safety devices, interlocks, alarms, and protective equipment are functional and properly maintained.
1. Record and maintain accurate operational logbooks, fuel and chemical consumption records, maintenance reports, and statutory documentation.
2. Prepare and submit utility-related reports and updates as required by management or regulatory bodies.
1. Oversee and assign daily work activities to firemen or utility assistants, ensuring tasks are completed safely and on schedule.
2. Liaise closely with production supervisors and process personnel regarding steam demand, process issues, and operational coordination.
