Job summary

Soon Soon Group is seeking a Boiler Operator to manage the boiler house operations in Port Klang. You will record parameters, manage chemical and water usage, and perform preventive maintenance.

The role requires 2–3 years of boiler experience, a valid Engine Driver certificate, and the ability to work rotating shifts and long hours when needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of related boiler operation experience.
• Basic knowledge of boiler and its equipment and maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee boiler house operations ensuring compliance with regulations and GMP.
• Record operating parameters, chemical usage, and water usage.
• Perform minor repairs and maintenance on boiler and equipment.
• Manage chemical dosing, blowdown, and water sampling as scheduled.
• Lead cleaning/overhaul of boilers and unfired pressure vessels per DOSH.
• Record daily operation details in the daily log book.
• Ensure adequate storage of JBA water for boiler use.
• Report process abnormalities to Production Manager.
• Perform other tasks as assigned.

• Overall in-charge of the boiler house operation to ensure compliance with government regulations and GMP requirement.
• To record all the operating parameter, chemical usage and water usage as per standard template.
• To execute minor repair and maintenance for boiler and its equipment.
• To ensure chemical dosing, blowdown and water sample for testing executed as per schedule.
• Lead major cleaning and overhaul of boiler and unfired pressure vessels as per DOSH requirement.
• To record daily operation details in daily log book.
• To ensure enough storage of JBA water for daily boiler consumption.
• To report to Production Manager for any process abnormality.
• To execute other tasks assigned by superior.

Job Requirement :

• Qualification: 1st Grade Engine Driver (Steam Boiler) competency certificate.
• Experience: Minimum 2-3 years of related working experience
• Skills required : Basic boiler and its equipment & maintenance, ability to work under minimum supervision, good communication skills, proactive and committed to work.
• Candidate must be ready to work on rotational shift, long hours if needed
• Must possessed own transport and valid driving license
