Job summary

Tastiway Sdn Bhd in Jitra, Kedah, is seeking an experienced Boilerman to join our operations team at the manufacturing facility. You will operate and maintain our boiler systems to ensure safe, reliable steam generation for production.

The role requires hands-on boiler operation, adherence to safety regulations, and collaboration with maintenance teams. Valid Boiler Operator certification recognised in Malaysia is preferred, with a focus on reliability and quality in our processes.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Boilerman in manufacturing.
• Valid Boiler Operator certification recognised in Malaysia.
• Good understanding of boiler systems and steam generation.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations for boiler operations.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and procedures.
• Strong attention to detail and record-keeping.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boiler systems in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures
• Perform regular maintenance and inspections of boiler equipment to ensure optimal performance
• Monitor temperature, pressure and water levels, making necessary adjustments to maintain safe operating conditions
• Conduct routine cleaning and servicing of boiler components and associated systems
• Keep detailed records of boiler operations, maintenance activities and any issues encountered
• Identify and report any faults, leaks or abnormal conditions to supervisors immediately
• Perform emergency shut-downs when necessary and respond to operational incidents
• Assist with preventative maintenance programmes and coordinate with maintenance teams
• Comply with all health, safety and environmental regulations relevant to boiler operations
• Support training of junior staff on safe boiler operating procedures

About the role

Tastiway Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Boilerman to join our operations team in Jitra, Kedah. This is a full-time position based at our manufacturing facility. As a Boilerman, you will play a critical role in maintaining and operating our industrial boiler systems, which are essential to our production processes. This position is vital to ensuring the safe, efficient and reliable operation of our heating and steam systems, directly supporting the continuity and quality of our manufacturing operations.

Key responsibilities

• Operate and monitor boiler systems in accordance with safety regulations and company procedures
• Perform regular maintenance and inspections of boiler equipment to ensure optimal performance

What we’re looking for

Proven experience as a Boilerman or in a similar boiler operation role within a manufacturing environment

Valid Boiler Operator certification or equivalent qualification recognised in Malaysia

Strong understanding of boiler systems, steam generation and associated equipment

Comprehensive knowledge of health and safety regulations pertaining to boiler operations

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals and operating procedures

Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach to monitoring and record-keeping

Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with the operations team

Reliability and commitment to maintaining consistent operational standards

Physical capability to perform the duties of the role, including standing for extended periods

Experience with preventative maintenance practices is highly desirable
