Job summary

Paragon Paper & Plywood Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced boilerman to operate high‑pressure boilers in our manufacturing facility in Malaysia. You will ensure a continuous steam supply, manage start‑ups and shutdowns, monitor key boiler parameters, and perform routine maintenance to keep operations running smoothly.

The role requires 3+ years of boiler experience, an ITI/ Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent, and a strong focus on safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of boiler operation and safety systems.
• Knowledge of water treatment and steam distribution systems.
• Familiarity with manufacturing utility requirements.
• Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills.

Responsibilities

• Operate, monitor, and control high-pressure boilers in manufacturing operations.
• Ensure continuous steam supply per production requirements.
• Perform boiler start-up, shutdown, and load adjustments.
• Monitor pressure, temperature, water level, fuel consumption, and emissions.
• Carry out routine inspections and preventive maintenance of boilers and auxiliaries.
• Maintain daily logbooks, shift records, and compliance documents.
• Detect faults and troubleshoot operational issues; take corrective actions.
• Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime.
• Supervise and guide junior boilermen or operators when required.

Coordinate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime

Supervise and guide junior boilermen or operators, if required

About you

Mandatory: Boilerman / Boiler Attendant Grade 2 Certificate from a competent authority

3+ years of experience operating high-pressure boilers in a manufacturing plant

ITI / Diploma in Mechanical or equivalent (preferred)

Strong understanding of boiler operation and safety systems

Knowledge of water treatment and steam distribution systems

Familiarity with manufacturing utility requirements

Basic maintenance and troubleshooting skills

High safety and compliance orientation

Ability to work in shifts
