Job summary

Carro is seeking a Body & Paint Estimator in Penang, Malaysia. You will inspect accident-damaged vehicles, estimate repair costs (labour, parts, repainting) and determine whether to repair or replace damaged parts.

You will handle insurance claims, prepare assessment reports, and liaise with insurers and workshop teams to resolve cost discrepancies. Evaluate repair feasibility versus market value and salvage value for total-loss cases.

Qualifications

• 1+ year experience in automotive workshops or insurance assessment.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body damage and paint processes.
• Hands-on experience with insurance claims processing.
• Ability to appraise labour, parts and quotations accurately.
• Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

About your role

What We're Looking For

• At least 1 year of experience in automotive workshops, Body & Paint centres or insurance assessment.
• Strong technical knowledge of vehicle body damage, repair methods and paintwork.
• Hands-on experience in insurance claims processing and repair cost estimation.
• Able to assess labour costs, spare parts and repair quotations accurately.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
