Responsibilities

  • Prepare a Planned Preventive Maintenance schedule for biomedical equipment.
  • Monitor progress of the PPM schedule and adjust as required.
  • Schedule corrective maintenance for faulty equipment.
  • Oversee testing and commissioning of new medical devices.
  • Oversee service vendors and hospital projects.
  • Develop procedures for communication flow within the department.
  • Process stock requisition and update equipment lists.
  • Ensure IMS, OHSAS 18001 and MSQH standards are followed.

Key Responsibilities

Ensure compliance to the termed Vision and Mission statements, goals, objectives and values of the Company.

To prepare a Planned Preventive Maintenance service schedule for biomedical equipment.

To monitor the progress of the PPM service schedule.

To schedule corrective maintenance service for faulty equipment.

To monitor the changing of spare parts.

To prepare and manage service contracts with vendors.

To oversee the testing and commissioning of new medical equipment and devices.

To oversee service vendors within the hospital.

To develop procedures with regards to communication flow.

To process stock requisition and update equipment list.

Ensure all policies and procedures of Integrated Management System (IMS), OHSAS 18001 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented.

Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times.

Perform any other duties assigned by the superior.

To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994.

Requirement

Bachelor in Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.

3-5 years of relevant experience in Hospital settings. Preferably with relevant experience in Hospital/healthcare business or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience.

Demonstrates the ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hospital, the brand and the Company.

Ability to identify market segments, niches and potential markets.

Willingness to do work after office hours/weekends/public holidays when required.

Microsoft office literacy.

Able to work well on multiple projects & meet tight deadlines.

Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.

Responsibility and reliability to take charge of certain projects independently.

Willing to travel.

Excellent English communication skills both oral and written.

Prepared to work as a team member in the manner the best.
