Job summary

KPJ Rawang Specialist Hospital is seeking a Biomedical Equipment Maintenance professional responsible for managing all biomedical equipment through PPM scheduling, vendor coordination, and compliance with ISO standards. You will oversee preventive and corrective maintenance, manage service contracts, and prepare monthly maintenance reports to support patient safety and reliability.

The role requires a Diploma in engineering with at least 2 years of relevant experience, strong English

Responsibilities

• Prepare Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule for biomedical equipment.
• Monitor progress of the PPM schedule and corrective maintenance.
• Manage service contracts with vendors and oversee testing/commissioning of new equipment.
• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and hospital accreditation requirements.
• Compile monthly maintenance reports and manage stock requisitions.

Job description

1) SUMMARY OF DUTIES

To manage all biomedical equipment in the hospital through management of PPM service schedule and also cost and risk minimizing activities.

2) JOB DESCRIPTION

Ensure compliance to the termed Vision and Mission statements, goals, objectives and values of the Company. To prepare a Planned Preventive Maintenance service schedule for biomedical equipment. To monitor the progress of the PPM service schedule. To schedule corrective maintenance service for faulty equipment. To monitor the changing of spare parts. To prepare and manage service contracts with vendors. To oversee the testing and commissioning of new medical equipment and devices. To oversee service vendors within the hospital. To attend internal and external training courses provided. To develop procedures with regards to communication flow. To compile monthly reports on maintenance activities. To process stock requisition. To update equipment list. Further instruction by the Top Management of RSH or KPJ as a whole. Ensure to actively participate in all quality initiatives and activities by the Company. Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 9001, ISO 14001, ISO 45001, ISO 50001 and MSQH Hospital Accreditation Standard are adhered to and records maintained, if and when these programs are implemented. Participate in 5S activities and comply with the specified requirements. Ensure adhere to The KPJ Way/ Standard People Practice (SPP). Ensure the policies on patients and family’s rights are addressed at all times. Ensure compliance to Patient safety goals as safety improvement measures recommended by World Alliance for Patient Safety (2008). Perform any other duties assigned by the superior. To carried out duties as an employee as stipulated in Occupational Safety and Health Act and Regulations 1994:

Ensure all policies and procedures of ISO 37001 Anti Bribery Management System (ABMS) are adhered to and responsible for integrity principles, practices, and activities at hospitals & companies if and when these programs are implemented.

3) JOB REQUIREMENT

Diploma in engineering or equivalent. 2 years of relevant experience or an equivalent combination of education and work related experience. Liaise with the Hospital Engineer in the decision making pertaining to the related work activities. Demonstrates the ability to interact with customers, employees and third parties that reflects highly on the hospital, the brand and the Company. Ability to identify market segments, niches and potential markets. Willingness to do work after office hours/weekends/public holidays when required. Microsoft office literacy. Able to work well on multiple projects & meet tight deadlines. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Responsibility and reliability to take charge of certain projects independently. Willing to travel. Excellent English communication skills both oral and written. Prepared to work as a team member in the manner the best.
