Penang Adventist Hospital is seeking a Biomedical Engineer responsible for ensuring safe, reliable operation of clinical equipment. You will install, service, and repair a wide range of therapeutic and diagnostic devices while supporting calibration and safety testing.
The role requires a Biomedical Engineering degree and at least two years of relevant experience, with strong analytical and communication skills to work independently and within a team in a hospital setting.

Join our team as a Biomedical Engineer and play an important role in supporting quality patient care through effective management and maintenance of clinical equipment.
Install, inspect, service, troubleshoot and repair therapeutic, diagnostic and life-support medical equipment.
Perform planned preventive maintenance (PPM), corrective and breakdown maintenance.
Conduct electrical safety testing, performance verification and required calibration.
Coordinate with equipment suppliers and service providers on maintenance, warranty and repair matters.
Support the commissioning and acceptance of new medical equipment.
Maintain accurate maintenance, servicing and calibration records.
Provide technical support and equipment orientation to users when required.
Ensure medical equipment is maintained in accordance with manufacturer recommendations, relevant standards and good engineering practices.
Undertake any other duties or assignments as may be directed by the immediate superior or Management from time to time.
Degree in Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum two (2) years of relevant working experience in biomedical equipment maintenance, clinical engineering or a related technical field.
Knowledge and practical experience in maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance, corrective maintenance and electrical safety testing.
Good analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Able to work independently and effectively as part of a team.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
