Job summary

Pantai Hospital Sungai Petani is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to oversee repairs and maintenance of biomedical equipment in a busy hospital environment.

You will perform regular preventive maintenance, on-call duties, incident reporting, and liaise with department heads to ensure smooth operations, while keeping workshop tools organized and the workspace tidy. The role also requires documenting daily maintenance reports for the head of department and ensuring accessible workshop documents.

Qualifications

• Possess at least Degree in Biomedical Engineering / Medical Electronic / Electronic Engineering / Electrical Engineering or other related disciplines.

Responsibilities

• Carry all repairs as per the checklist.
• Perform corrective maintenance T&C and PPM for Biomedical Equipment as per the schedule.
• Write daily report on repairs and maintenance work done and submit to Head of department.
• Perform On Call duties as and when required.
• Report immediately any mishaps or accidents.
• Ensure all job requests/assignments are completed timely.
• Liaise with respective Department Head on all job matters which need explanation to other department.
• Ensure all tools and equipment in the workshop and tool bag are properly arranged and maintained at all times.
• Ensure the workplace is kept clean and tidy.
• Access to documents in workshop office (except confidential documents).
• Ensure smooth running of the Biomedical Department in the absence of Biomedical Engineer.
• Perform any other duties as assigned by management from time to time.
