Job summary

IBS Medical Equipments Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a Biomedical Engineer to install, configure, and commission medical devices. You will perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety inspections while providing technical support to clinicians and end users.

The role includes supporting procurement, installation planning, acceptance testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance. Strong problem-solving and independent work style are valued, with opportunities for promotion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or related field.
• Must possess driving license class B2 and able to travel by motorbike when required.
• Knowledge of medical equipment maintenance and troubleshooting.
• Familiarity with healthcare safety standards and regulatory requirements.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks.
• Opportunities for promotion.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and commission biomedical equipment.
• Perform preventive maintenance, calibration, and safety inspections.
• Provide technical support to healthcare professionals and end users.
• Support procurement, installation planning, and acceptance testing.
• Monitor service requests and ensure timely assignment and completion by Biomedical Engineers.
• Ensure equipment complies with regulatory, safety, and quality standards.
• Conduct equipment performance testing and recommend upgrades or replacements.
• Provide product technical support in Operating Theatre cases.
• Leak test, clean scope, troubleshooting and repairing the medical equipment (bronchoscope, ENT endoscope, cytoscope, scivita single use endoscope)
