Job summary

Private Advertiser operates an industrial biomass steam plant in Pasir Gudang and seeks a General Manager to oversee daily operations and drive a 3x capacity expansion. This role focuses on fuel sourcing, reliable steam supply, and managing the growth project.

The General Manager will lead an operations team on site, ensure safety and environmental compliance, and coordinate with EPCC contractors, local authorities, and clients during expansion.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical, chemical, or electrical engineering.
• 5–8 years hands-on plant operations experience, preferably in heavy industry, palm oil, or biomass.
• Familiarity with Pasir Gudang area and local regulatory bodies (DOSH/DOE) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily plant operations, focusing on boiler efficiency and consistent steam output.
• Ensure high plant uptime to meet industrial client supply agreements.
• Ensure compliance with environmental, safety, and site regulations (DOE, DOSH).
• Lead preventive maintenance programs to minimize unplanned downtime.
• Manage P&L, monitor margins, and oversee expansion budgets and cash flow.
