NCL ENERGY SDN BHD is seeking a BIM Engineer to support data center projects across Electrical, IT/ELV, Genset, and Brooklyn integration. You will develop, coordinate, and manage BIM models to ensure clash-free delivery in a fast-paced environment.
The role requires 2–5 years of BIM experience, strong coordination skills, and proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM 360. Here you will contribute to site support and documentation efforts for critical data center builds.

Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong BIM Engineer to support data center construction projects across multiple disciplines including Electrical systems, IT/ELV infrastructure, Genset systems, and Brooklyn (overall building & MEP integration).
The BIM Engineer will be responsible for developing, coordinating, and managing BIM models to ensure accurate design integration, clash-free construction, and smooth project delivery in a fast-paced data center environment.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and manage BIM models for:
Electrical systems (LV/MV, cable trays, lighting, panels)
IT/ELV systems (structured cabling, fiber optics, containment)
Brooklyn package (building, architectural, and MEP integration)
Coordinate models across disciplines to ensure alignment with project requirements
Perform clash detection using tools such as Navisworks and propose resolutions
2. Design & Shop Drawing Support
Prepare and update shop drawings, coordinated drawings, and as-built models
Assist engineers and project teams in design development and technical detailing
Ensure all drawings comply with project specifications and client standards (e.g., data center requirements)
3. Site & Construction Support
Work closely with site teams to resolve design and coordination issues
Update BIM models based on site changes and RFIs
Support construction sequencing and visualization for installation planning
4. BIM Standards & Documentation
Maintain BIM standards, templates, and workflows in accordance with company and client requirements
Ensure proper documentation and version control of all BIM models and drawings
Prepare BIM reports, coordination reports, and clash reports
Coordinate with Project Engineers, QAQC, Cx Engineers, and subcontractors
Participate in BIM coordination meetings and technical discussions
Liaise with consultants and clients for model review and approval
Requirements
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Electrical / Mechanical / Building Services) or equivalent
Minimum 2–5 years of BIM experience in construction projects (data center experience is highly preferred)
Experience handling multi-disciplinary BIM coordination
Technical Skills
Autodesk Revit (essential or advanced)
AutoCAD
Familiar with:
BIM 360 / ACC platform
Data center systems (Electrical, ELV, Genset)
Strong understanding of MEP systems and construction workflows
Soft Skills
Strong coordination and problem-solving skills
Ability to work under tight deadlines in fast-track projects
Good communication and teamwork skills
Detail-oriented with high accuracy in modelling
Preferred Qualifications (Added Advantage)
Knowledge in fiber optic systems and structured cabling
Exposure to testing & commissioning (T&C) requirements
Familiarity with BIM execution plans (BEP)
