Job summary

Singtel KL Shared Services Centre is hiring a Billing Executive (Testing) to support testing and validation of consumer billing products and services. You will develop UAT plans, run test scenarios, and ensure billing changes are implemented on schedule with accurate data integrity.

Fresh graduates are welcome; you will collaborate with Product, Marketing, Engineering, IT, and vendors to resolve defects and drive continuous improvement in billing processes.

Qualifications

• Diploma or Degree in IT, CS, BIS, Finance or related field.
• Fresh graduates welcome; experience in billing ops or UAT is a plus.
• Proficient with Excel; basic SQL/RPA knowledge advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; cross-functional collaboration.
• Detail-oriented with ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

We are looking for a Billing Executive (Testing) to support the successful implementation and testing of consumer billing products and services. This role is responsible for ensuring billing system enhancements are accurately tested, implemented on schedule, and transitioned smoothly into production while maintaining billing integrity and delivering quality support to internal stakeholders.

Make An Impact By

• Billing Testing & Implementation
• Collaborate with Product, Marketing, Engineering, IT, and other stakeholders to gather and clarify billing requirements.
• Develop comprehensive User Acceptance Testing (UAT) plans, including acceptance criteria and test scenarios.
• Execute UAT activities to validate billing system changes and new product implementations.
• Record, monitor, and report defects, working closely with technical teams to ensure timely resolution.
• Document test results and maintain accurate testing records and reference materials.
• Prepare operational handover documentation and conduct knowledge transfer sessions for support teams.
• Provide post-implementation support by investigating and resolving production enquiries related to billing.
• Billing Integrity & Process Improvement
• Ensure billing system enhancements maintain data accuracy and billing integrity.
• Identify opportunities to improve testing methodologies, operational processes, and overall efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the billing function.
• Operational Support
• Investigate billing-related issues and coordinate resolution with relevant stakeholders.
• Escalate complex operational issues where appropriate to ensure timely resolution.
• Work closely with external vendors and internal technology teams to support successful project delivery.
• Stakeholder & Vendor Collaboration
• Build effective working relationships with cross-functional teams and external service providers.
• Monitor project progress and communicate testing status, risks, and key updates to stakeholders.
• Support project implementation activities to ensure smooth delivery within agreed timelines.
• Continuous Improvement
• Recommend enhancements to billing processes and testing practices.
• Support initiatives that improve operational efficiency, service quality, and customer experience.
  

Skills For Success

• Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Information Systems, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Experience in billing operations, user acceptance testing (UAT), system implementation, finance shared services, or telecommunications billing environments will be an advantage.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications, with a good understanding of User Acceptance Testing (UAT) methodologies. Knowledge of SQL, RPA tools, or enterprise billing systems is an added advantage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to analyse system behaviour, identify defects, and ensure billing accuracy.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional stakeholders and external vendors.
• Detail-oriented, organised, and able to manage multiple priorities while meeting project timelines.
• A proactive team player with a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to delivering high-quality outcomes.
