Job summary

Jabil in Penang, Malaysia is seeking an Industrial Engineer II/III who is fluent in Japanese to plan, design, implement, and manage production and service delivery systems. You will lead projects to eliminate waste, perform complex simulations and cost analyses, and drive SAP/MES standardization.

You will coach engineers, report IE metrics, and support New Product Introduction while aligning with Jabil's global strategies and security policies.

Qualifications

• Broad range of IE tools: work measurement, simulation, process mapping, facilities/workstation design, operations research.
• Understand Jabil's global strategies and direction.
• Know site facilities and how they tie to Jabil's strategy.
• Strong financial and analytical ability.
• Proven track record of change management, continuous improvements and cost reduction.
• Strong communication skills.
• Proficiency with PCs, MS Office, Visio, Project, and AutoCAD.
• Proficient in spoken and written Japanese (JLPT N2/N1).

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement IE projects to eliminate waste using standard IE processes.
• Conduct complex process simulation, operations research and cost analysis.
• Verify time standards within the IE team.
• Update and report IE metrics for assigned customer area.
• Drive process mapping activities and standardization of SAP and MES configurations.
• Prepare quotes for proposed projects.
• Drive activities for New Product Introduction.
• Coach and train engineers within the IE team.
• Ensure standardization of Jabil processes site-wide.
• Support Lean initiatives with data integrity and process improvement.
• Follow security policies and perform other duties as assigned.
