Job summary

PETRO MART SDN. BHD. is seeking an experienced operator to run aluminium bending machines and produce components according to engineering drawings and project specifications.

You will set up tooling, read drawings, inspect parts, and record production data while safely handling aluminium sheets and supporting QA/QC to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Operate aluminium bending machines according to drawings and specs.
• Set up tooling, alignment, and adjustments for correct bend angles.
• Inspect parts for dimensional accuracy and finish.
• Record daily production data including outputs and downtime.
• Troubleshoot and assist in machine maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Set up bending machines with tooling, alignment, and adjustments to meet bend angles.
• Read fabrication drawings and work orders accurately.
• Inspect finished parts for tolerances and surface finish.
• Record production data and downtime daily.
• Maintain and troubleshoot bending equipment as needed.
• Handle aluminium sheets safely before/after bending.
• Assist QA/QC in resolving bending process issues.

Job description

Operate aluminium bending machines to produce components according to engineering drawings and project specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Set up bending machines, including tooling, alignment, and adjustments, to achieve required bend angles
• Read and interpret fabrication drawings, bending instructions, and work orders accurately
• Inspect finished parts to ensure dimensional accuracy, tolerances, and surface finish are met
• Record and update daily production data, including output, non-conformances, and downtime
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and assist in troubleshooting bending equipment
• Safely handle and transport aluminium sheets/panels before and after bending operations
• Assist supervisors and QA/QC team in resolving technical or quality issues related to bending processes

About you

• Minimum SPM / Skills Certificate (e.g. SKM / ILP / GiatMARA / Polytechnic)
• At least 3 years of experience operating bending machines is an advantage
• Willing to work overtime when required
• Disciplined, responsible, and able to work well in a team
