Job summary

Thalgo beauty counter in a department store in Kuala Lumpur is seeking a retail sales professional to meet sales targets, conduct skin consultations, demonstrate products, and maintain luxury counter standards.

You will handle POS transactions, manage stock, drive cross- and up-selling, recruit customers to the brand database, and work shifts including weekends and public holidays.

Qualifications

• SPM/Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1-2 years experience in beauty, skincare, retail or customer service preferred.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed daily, weekly, and monthly individual and counter retail sales targets.
• Drive cross-selling and up-selling by recommending complete skincare regimens (cleanser, serum, moisturizer) rather than single items.
• Actively recruit new customers to the brand database and follow up with existing clients to encourage repeat purchases.
• Conduct professional skin consultations to understand customer concerns and recommend Thalgo solutions.
• Demonstrate product textures, application techniques, and efficacy directly on customers' skin.
• Maintain deep product knowledge regarding Thalgo's marine ingredients, product benefits, usage instructions, and pricing.
• Maintain pristine cleanliness and organization of the beauty counter, tester units, and display shelves according to Thalgo's global luxury standards.
• Ensure stock accuracy by monitoring inventory levels, reporting low stock, and participating in regular stock counts.
• Handle POS cash registers, process credit card/e-wallet transactions accurately, and follow department store operational policies.

Key responsibilities

About you

SPM/Diploma or equivalent

1-2 years' experience in beauty, skincare, cosmetics, retail, or customer service preferred

Good knowledge of beauty and skincare products

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Sales-oriented with the ability to achieve targets

Pleasant personality, well-groomed and presentable

Willing to work shifts, weekends & public holidays

Multilingual skills are an added advantage
