Job summary

GEOQUEST SOLUTIONS MALAYSIA SDN. BHD. is seeking a Business Development Engineer to grow the client base, support proposals and tenders, and provide technical input for engineering solutions.

The role involves engaging clients from opportunity to project award and collaborating with internal teams to ensure successful handovers. Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering (Civil, Geotechnical or related discipline) or Construction Management, Marketing or equivalent.
• 3–5 years of experience in business development, C&S consultancy, sales or marketing within the construction or engineering industry.
• Experience in client acquisition, tender participation, proposal preparation, contract negotiation and relationship management.

Responsibilities

• Track new business opportunities and maintain good client relationships.
• Support client engagement from opportunity identification to project award, including meeting preparation and follow-ups.
• Monitor client satisfaction and feedback to support retention and repeat business.
• Represent the company at industry conferences, trade shows and networking events, and prepare activity reports.
• Prepare technical proposals, tender submissions, costings, quotations and related documents.
• Develop preliminary engineering solutions and drawings using tools such as AutoCAD, Plaxis, Talren, GeoSlope and Rocscience.
• Conduct market research, update sales reports/MIS and maintain the CRM (Salesforce).
• Work closely with internal teams (technical and operations) and support project handover.
• Support ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and QHSE implementation.
