Job summary

Bean Brothers Sdn Bhd in Petaling Jaya and KL outlets is seeking a Chef to join a fast-paced kitchen focused on clean prep and consistent execution.

You'll handle mise en place, cook to established recipes, maintain hygiene, and coordinate with front-of-house to ensure timely service. Fresh graduates welcomed; shift hours include weekends and public holidays; Bahasa Malaysia and English proficiency required.

• SPM or Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent.
• Fresh graduates welcome with relevant training.
• Basic knife skills and understanding of food preparation techniques.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and portion ingredients for daily service — mise en place, chopping, marinating, and weighing.
• Execute food items according to established recipes, portioning standards, and plating guidelines.
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment, and kitchen area throughout every shift.
• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food deliveries — FIFO stock rotation.
• Monitor ingredient levels and flag replenishment needs to the Outlet Lead.
• Adhere to HACCP and all food safety regulations at all times.
• Support opening and closing kitchen procedures.
• Coordinate with the front-of-house team during service for timely food delivery.

Bean Brothers operates kitchens across three outlets in KL and PJ. We hold our food to the same standard as everything else we do — clean prep, consistent execution, and a kitchen team that takes the work seriously. We're looking for a Chef who wants to be part of that.

What You'll Do

• Prepare and portion ingredients for daily service — mise en place, chopping, marinating, and weighing
• Execute food items according to established recipes, portioning standards, and plating guidelines
• Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of workstations, equipment, and kitchen area throughout every shift
• Assist in receiving, checking, and storing food deliveries — FIFO stock rotation
• Monitor ingredient levels and flag replenishment needs to the Outlet Lead
• Adhere to HACCP and all food safety regulations at all times

What We're Looking For

• SPM / Diploma in Culinary Arts or equivalent; fresh graduates with relevant training are welcome
• 0–2 years of experience in a kitchen or F&B environment
• Basic knife skills and understanding of food preparation techniques
• Knowledge of food hygiene and safety standards; HACCP certification is an advantage
• Able to work shift hours including weekends and public holidays
• Physically fit; comfortable working on your feet in a fast-paced environment
• Reliable, detail-oriented, and a strong team player
• Proficient in Bahasa Malaysia and English
