Job summary

Cezars Kitchen Sdn Bhd in Melaka is hiring a Cook and Kitchen Helper to join our busy kitchen in Batu Berendam. You will prepare meals, assist with menu planning, and ensure smooth kitchen operations under the Head Chef's guidance.

The ideal candidate has at least 1 year of kitchen experience in schools, hotels, or restaurants, and holds valid Typhoid and Food Handlers certificates (plus vaccination). Must be able to work with a team in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of working experience in school kitchens, hotels or restaurants.
• Must have valid Typhoid, Food Handlers Certificate and Vaccination Certificate (2 dose + Booster)
• Be a qualified cook (Certificate available upon request)

Responsibilities

• Work with the head chef to prepare daily meals.
• Plan menus by consulting with head chef, estimate food costs and manage inventory.
• Handle kitchen operations in the head chef's absence.
• Own transportation to/from work location.
• Able to stand for long hours in a fast-paced kitchen.
• Willing to learn new recipes or techniques.
• Follow company SOPs and work quickly under time constraints.
