Job summary

Bottega Mediterranea Sdn Bhd in Penang is seeking a Bar Supervisor to lead daily bar operations, ensure beverage quality and guest satisfaction, and support the bar team. You will supervise bartenders and bar runners, manage stock and inventory, uphold hygiene and safety standards, and collaborate with FOH and kitchen teams to deliver smooth service.

The role requires 2–3 years of bartending or bar operations experience with supervisory responsibilities and a strong knowledge of cocktails,

Qualifications

• Minimum 2–3 years of experience in bartending or bar operations, with supervisory or team-leading experience preferred.
• Good knowledge of cocktails, spirits, wines and beverage service.
• Good communication, leadership and problem-solving skills.
• Guest-focused and able to work well in a team.

Responsibilities

• Bar Operations – Supervise daily bar operations and ensure smooth workflow, service efficiency and proper opening and closing procedures.
• Guest Service – Provide excellent guest service, assist with beverage recommendations and handle guest feedback professionally.
• Team Supervision – Supervise, guide and support Bartenders and Bar Runners while maintaining teamwork and service standards.
• Beverage Quality – Ensure cocktails, wines and other beverages are prepared according to approved recipes, portion and presentation standards.
• Stock & Inventory – Monitor bar stock, support stock counts and ensure proper storage, labelling and FIFO rotation.
• Cost & Wastage – Monitor product usage, breakages, spoilage and wastage and report any issues accordingly.
• Team Coordination – Work closely with the FOH and Kitchen teams to ensure smooth communication and daily service.
• Hygiene & Safety – Maintain bar cleanliness and ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, responsible alcohol service and company SOPs.

Job Summary
