Job summary

OCBC Malaysia is seeking an Application Technical Support Specialist to maintain and enhance banking applications in a 24x7 production environment. You will handle Level 2/3 support, investigate issues, and work with cross-border teams to deliver effective IT solutions.

The role requires solid Java or .NET experience, SQL databases, and familiarity with Linux/Windows server platforms. You’ll join a collaborative, learning-focused bank with opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Experience in application technical support for banking IT environments.
• Proficient in Java or .NET stacks and related middleware.
• Strong SQL skills with MS SQL or Oracle DB.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix or Windows Server environments.
• Willingness to provide 24x7 standby support and work with cross-border teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide application support and enhancement for applications used in the bank.
• Perform Level 2 and 3 of production support.
• Perform problem investigation – root cause analysis and solution implementation.
• Understand system design and provide impact analysis for changes.
• Enhance and fix defects at code level.
• Manage system risks and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with users to understand needs and issues.
