• Academic background in finance, business, economics; professional certifications are a plus.
• Prior bancassurance, insurance sales or retail banking experience is beneficial.

Role Description The Bancassurance Specialist is a full-time, on-site role based in WP. Kuala Lumpur. This role focuses on promoting and distributing insurance and takaful products through the bank’s branches and channels, ensuring that customers receive suitable protection and investment solutions aligned with their financial needs. Day-to-day responsibilities include engaging customers, conducting needs-based financial and protection assessments, explaining product features and benefits, and providing clear, compliant recommendations. The role also involves working closely with branch teams to drive bancassurance sales, achieving set targets, preparing sales reports, and participating in campaigns, briefings, and training sessions. The Bancassurance Specialist is expected to uphold regulatory and internal compliance standards, maintain accurate documentation, and deliver a high level of customer service and professionalism.

Qualifications

• Strong sales and relationship management skills, with the ability to identify customer needs and offer appropriate bancassurance solutions.
• Knowledge of insurance, takaful, and banking products, including basic understanding of wealth management and risk protection concepts.

• Relevant academic background, such as a diploma or degree in finance, business, economics, or a related field; professional insurance or financial certifications are an advantage.
• Prior experience in bancassurance, insurance sales, or retail banking is highly beneficial.
• Proficiency in basic office and CRM software, with strong organizational skills to manage leads, follow-ups, and reporting.
