Job summary

Tea House Cafe in Sabah is seeking a hands-on kitchen helper to assist in preparing doughs, batters, fillings, and toppings according to recipes. You will weigh, measure, and mix ingredients, and operate mixers, ovens, and proofers safely.

You will monitor baking times and temperatures, help decorate and package baked goods, maintain clean workstations, aid in inventory checks, follow food safety standards, and support the baker with daily prep and other kitchen duties.

Qualifications

• Assist in preparing doughs, batters, fillings and toppings according to recipes.
• Weigh, measure and mix ingredients accurately.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely (mixers, ovens, proofers).
• Monitor baking times and temperatures to meet standards.
• Decorate and package baked goods as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of workstations, tools and equipment.
• Assist in inventory checking and restocking baking supplies.
• Follow food safety and hygiene standards strictly.
• Support the baker in daily prep and other kitchen duties.
• Dispose of waste properly and keep storage areas organized.
