Job summary

Tea House Cafe in Malaysia is seeking a Kitchen Assistant to wash, peel, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients, and assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks.

You will clean and sanitize kitchen areas and equipment, receive, store deliveries, refill supplies, dispose of waste, and uphold food safety and hygiene regulations, while supporting the kitchen team during busy service periods and following the Head Chef's instructions.

Qualifications

• Must follow food safety and hygiene regulations.
• Experience in kitchen environment preferred.
• Ability to work under pressure.
• Strong attention to detail and cleanliness.

Responsibilities

• Wash, peel, and prepare vegetables, fruits, and other ingredients.
• Assist chefs with basic food preparation tasks.
• Clean and sanitize kitchen work areas, equipment, and storage areas.
• Receive, unpack, and store food supplies and deliveries.
• Refill ingredients and kitchen supplies as needed.
• Remove kitchen waste and ensure proper disposal of garbage.
• Follow food safety, hygiene, and health regulations at all times.
• Support the kitchen team during busy service periods.
• Perform other duties assigned by the Head Chef
