Job summary

Jora Malaysia is seeking a baker/production assistant to support daily bakery operations in a fast-paced kitchen. You will prepare doughs, fillings, and pastries, and ensure quality and presentation standards.

Responsibilities include operating ovens and mixers, maintaining hygiene, and assisting senior culinary staff. Fresh graduates are welcome, with opportunities to grow in a busy hotel or bakery environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a bakery, pastry, or hotel kitchen setting (fresh culinary graduates welcome to apply).
• Basic understanding of baking techniques, food safety, and hygiene protocols.
• Good communication skills and ability to work in a team.

Responsibilities

• Prepare doughs, fillings, and pastries according to recipes and daily production sheets.
• Operate ovens, mixers, and other baking equipment safely.
• Ensure all products meet quality, portion, and presentation standards.
• Clean and sanitize workstations, tools, and equipment, adhering to food safety policies.
• Assist with receiving supplies, organizing inventory, and notifying chefs of shortages or damaged goods.
• Assist Chef de Partie, Sous Chef, or Head Chef with various tasks as assigned.
