Job summary

Vectra Search is seeking a Pre-Sales Solution Architect to support enterprise customers on AWS, translating business requirements into scalable, secure cloud solutions. You will bridge sales, delivery and engineering, designing cost-effective architectures and leading proof-of-concept engagements.

The role emphasizes Java development experience, cloud-native patterns, DevSecOps, and collaboration with security, architecture and delivery teams in Malaysia.

Qualifications

• Experience designing application solutions on AWS with customer-facing roles.
• Strong Java development background; .NET is a plus.
• Exposure to modern frontend frameworks and end-to-end app architecture.
• Solid knowledge of core AWS services (compute, storage, databases, networking, identity, security).
• Ability to design cloud-native, scalable, secure, highly available solutions.
• Practical DevSecOps experience: CI/CD, automated deployment, containers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with sales and customers to understand requirements and translate them into clear solution concepts.
• Design scalable, secure, resilient, and cost-effective AWS application architectures.
• Develop technical proposals, high-level designs, and cost models.
• Lead customer discovery sessions, workshops, and proof-of-concepts.
• Apply Java development knowledge and modern frontend tech to transformation solutions.
• Incorporate DevSecOps practices and IaC to solutions.
• Advise on microservices, serverless architectures, APIs and cloud-native patterns.
• Collaborate with cloud, security, and delivery teams for handover to implementation.
• Maintain solution documentation and provide ongoing technical support.
