Job summary

KUKA Aktiengesellschaft is seeking a Sales Engineer based in Penang. The role focuses on managing sales channels, driving market development, and identifying new business with customers.

You will support marketing efforts, ensure contract compliance, and maintain CRM records including Salesforce. Ideal candidates have engineering background and 2+ years in automation or robotics sales, with willingness to travel on short notice.

Qualifications

• At least a professional certificate or higher in engineering or related field.
• Experience in automation, industrial machinery, and robotic sales.
• Knowledge in robotic applications is an added advantage.
• 2+ years in automation/industrial machinery sales is preferred.
• Willing to travel on short notice.

Responsibilities

• Manage sales channels including existing channels and new development.
• Support marketing plan activities and market development.
• Identify new business possibilities and maximize customer potential.
• Ensure payments are received per contract terms.
• Follow up sales proposals and sign agreements in line with terms and compliance.
• Maintain accurate records in systems (eg. Salesforce).
• Coordinate post‑sales activities to ensure customer satisfaction.
• Monitor proposals, tenders, margins, and product/system details.
• Meet customer visit targets and keep the customer database updated.
• Ensure on‑time deliveries of products and services.
