Job summary
Dialight Penang Sdn Bhd is seeking an Automation Engineer to drive industrial automation initiatives, improve production capacity and deliver sustainable cost reductions. You will lead projects from feasibility to commissioning and work across cross-functional teams to achieve measurable productivity gains.
The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in automation or related fields, 5+ years of experience in manufacturing, and strong skills in automation technologies, data analysis and project
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in automation, electrical & electronic, mechanical engineering, or mechatronics.
- Advanced degree (MSc) in electrical, mechanical or industrial engineering is a plus.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant engineering experience in manufacturing or multinational environments.
- Strong knowledge of automation technologies and project management.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
Responsibilities
- Identify, develop and implement automation projects to increase production capacity and improve efficiency.
- Lead automation projects from feasibility through commissioning.
- Drive cost-reduction through process optimization and productivity improvement.
- Analyze processes to reduce manpower dependency and optimize costs.
- Explore Industry 4.0 technologies, AI and smart manufacturing.
- Prepare feasibility studies, cost-benefit analyses and ROI assessments.
- Collaborate with Production, Engineering, Quality and other teams to drive project success.
- Monitor progress and present outcomes to management.
