Job summary

Pentamaster Corporation Berhad in Penang is seeking an experienced Automation Engineer to join our engineering team. You will design, implement and optimise automated systems to boost productivity and efficiency across operations.

The role reports to senior management and requires strong PLC/SCADA expertise, hands-on control systems experience, and a track record of delivering complex automation projects on time and within budget. Opportunity to mentor junior engineers in a dynamic environment.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Electronics, Automation or Mechatronic engineering.
Experience with PLC programming, SCADA and industrial control systems.
Familiarity with ISO, IEC safety standards and best practices.
Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

Design and implement advanced automation systems tailored to operational needs.
Lead planning, specification and deployment of industrial automation projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to translate business requirements into technical specs.
Oversee integration of PLCs, HMIs and automation hardware.
Conduct feasibility studies and provide technical recommendations.
Mentor junior engineers and promote continuous improvement.
Troubleshoot automation issues to minimise downtime.
Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety and quality requirements.
Prepare technical documents, schematics, and operation manuals.
Stay updated with emerging automation technologies.
