Job summary

Randstad Malaysia is seeking an Automation Engineer to lead smart manufacturing initiatives in Kuala Lumpur. The role focuses on building and maintaining factory automation to maximize OEE, improve machine reliability, and reduce downtime.

Key duties include designing automation solutions, programming PLCs/HMI, integrating sensors and IoT, and ensuring compliance with safety standards. The ideal candidate has 2–5 years in industrial automation and a relevant bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, or Automation engineering.
2–5 years in industrial automation within manufacturing.
Hands-on experience with automated production lines and control loops.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and deploy automation solutions for production machinery.
Program PLCs and HMIs, troubleshoot servo drives and inverters.
Integrate sensors, vision systems, robotics, and IoT devices into production lines.
Analyze failures to improve cycle times and reliability.
Support commissioning, line validation, and start-up phases.
Prepare electrical drawings, control logic docs, and manuals.
