Qualifications

• Hands-on PLC troubleshooting and programming experience.

Job description

We are seeking a hands‑on Automation Engineer to support new and existing production automation systems in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining equipment stability, troubleshooting machine issues, and driving continuous improvement to ensure smooth and efficient production operations.

Key Responsibilities

Support and maintain production automation systems and equipment to ensure stable operations

Troubleshoot machine and equipment issues promptly to minimize downtime

Perform preventive maintenance and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and efficiency

Support installation, testing, and commissioning of new automation equipment

Work closely with production and maintenance teams to resolve technical issues and improve overall system performance

Ensure all maintenance and repair activities comply with safety and operational standards

Support improvement projects to increase productivity, OEE, and process stability

Education

Degree in Electrical, Electronic, Mechatronics or Automation Engineering or equivalent

Technical Skills

Hands‑on experience in PLC troubleshooting and programming

Familiar with HMI / SCADA systems

Basic understanding of electrical control systems, sensors, motors, and drives

Able to read and interpret electrical and control drawings

Understanding of machine automation principles and production equipment

Experience

At least 3 years of hands‑on experience in a manufacturing environment

Proven experience in machine troubleshooting and production downtime support

Able to independently handle equipment issues and perform root cause analysis

Soft Skills

Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving skills in production environment

Able to work independently in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment

Good teamwork and communication skills with production and maintenance teams

Able to respond to urgent breakdown situations when required

Added Advantage

Experience in semiconductor or electronics manufacturing environment

Exposure to robotics or motion control systems

Basic programming or automation scripting knowledge (optional)

Familiarity with automation software or data monitoring tools

Working Conditions

Based in a manufacturing production environment

May be required to support machine breakdowns, urgent troubleshooting, or overtime when necessary
