Job summary

TRITAN ENGINEERING SDN BHD in Johor Bahru is seeking an Automation Application Engineer to design, develop and optimise automated systems. You will program PLCs, configure control systems and create detailed technical documentation.

The role involves testing, commissioning and ongoing technical support, with opportunities for overseas training and collaboration with suppliers and vendors to implement effective automation solutions.

Qualifications

• A degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Mechatronics, IT Telecommunication or a related discipline, or equivalent professional qualification.
• Proven experience in designing and implementing automation systems.
• Strong proficiency in PLC programming languages such as ladder logic, structured text or function block diagram.
• Solid understanding of electrical principles, circuits, control systems and industrial equipment.
• Experience with automation software platforms and SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems.
• Competence in using computer-aided design (CAD) tools and technical drawing software.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
• Knowledge in network switch and fiber optic communication integration.
• Preferred experience with human-machine interfaces (HMI), industrial network, Fiber Optic communication.

Responsibilities

• Developing and designing automation systems and applications tailored to meet specific business and operational requirements
• Programming and configuring industrial control systems, PLCs and other automation hardware
• Creating detailed technical documentation, including system designs, schematics, wiring diagrams and operational manuals
• Testing, troubleshooting and commissioning automation systems to ensure they meet performance specifications and safety standards
• Collaborating with supplier, contractor and other stakeholders to understand requirements and implement effective solutions
• Conducting system maintenance and providing ongoing technical support to ensure optimal performance of deployed automation solutions
• Manage installation, testing, and commissioning of diagnostic testing product portfolio.
• Liaising with Overseas manufacturer, vendor for project execution.
