Zusammenfassung

Atlas Copco KL Hub invites an AtR Accountant to ensure accurate IFRS-based reporting and support timely financial insights. You will work within the finance team reporting to the AtR Team Leader, contributing to high-quality product solutions for customers.

You will help drive process improvements, maintain controls, and collaborate with internal/external auditors while operating in a hybrid role between on-site Shah Alam and remote work.

Qualifikationen

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
• At least 2 years of accounting and finance experience.
• Understand double-entry accounting principles and reporting standards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems; SAP B1 is a plus.
• Strong English communication and collaboration skills.

Aufgaben

• Support IFRS-based Group reports and other finance documents.
• Participate in process and systems improvements within the service centre.
• Ensure timely general ledger reconciliations and follow up on open items.
• Escalate major issues or red flags to management as appropriate.
• Coordinate monthly meetings with local customer center pre-month end closing.
• Maintain internal controls and up-to-date SOPs.
• Assist auditors and statutory reporting for local entities.
• Collaborate with PtP & OtC teams in the service centre.
• Provide accounting and reporting advice to Business Areas.

Bring your curiosity to work as our next AtR Accountant. You will be part of our KL Hub finance team reporting to the AtR Team Leader. In this role, your mission is to ensure accurate, compliant financial reporting and support sound business decisions through timely financial insights. You will contribute directly to how we create high‑quality products and solutions for our customers.

• Support the overall concept of a “Service Centre” by ensuring that Atlas Copco standards, tools and processes are used in the service center and by our customers
• Process and innovation: actively participate in process and systems improvements and development
• Strive for continuous improvement of efficiency of processes in responsible areas Responsible for the preparation of all IFRS based Group reports, and other finance documents
• Support Business Areas and Finance team providing professional advice regarding accounting and reporting ensure compliance to IFRS and Group standards, Business Code of Practice
• Ensure all queries are dealt in a timely manner, correctly and efficiently
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of general ledger reconciliations and follow up of open items
• Ensure group and other agreed deadlines are met
• Ensure the quality and timeliness of Control period end closing
• Ensure all major issues or red flag are escalated to management as appropriate
• Ensure monthly meetings with local customer center are conducted pre-month end closing
• Internal controls: establish and maintain a proper level of control over accounting, and reporting processes
• Ensure standard operating procedures are maintained and up to date
• Support the training of new colleagues
• Work with internal and external auditors
• Assist local entities and Holdings in completing local statutory reporting requirements
• Work closely with the AtR team and also with the PtP & OtC teams in the service center

Your skills and experience

• A university degree or higher education qualification in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• At least 2 years of experience in accounting and finance.
• Good understanding of double-entry accounting principles, with working knowledge of accounting and reporting standards.
• Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience working with major ERP systems. Exposure to SAP Business One (SAP B1) would be an advantage.
• Good command of written and spoken English, with the confidence to participate in meetings, video/telephone conferences, and presentations.
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
• A results-oriented mindset with the ability to take initiative and follow through on commitments.
• Strong organizational and planning skills, with the ability to work effectively under tight deadlines and changing priorities.
• A customer-oriented approach and the ability to build effective working relationships with customers and colleagues.
