Job summary

Yee Lee Marketing Sdn Bhd in Kuala Lumpur is seeking an Associate Commercial Finance Manager to partner with Commercial, Trade Marketing and Marketing teams to drive profitable growth. You will own business partnering, planning, forecasting, and investment decision support.

The role emphasizes monthly RFCs, aligning forecasts with strategy and market trends, analyzing spend effectiveness, and driving automation of reporting and processes to improve data accuracy and efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field (MBA is a plus).
• Minimum 5 years of experience in Commercial Finance / FP&A.
• Strong experience in business partnering and financial planning.
• Background in FMCG, Retail, or Consumer business preferred.
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills.
• Advanced Excel: Power BI or similar tools are a plus.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Act as a trusted finance partner to Commercial, Trade Marketing, and Marketing teams.
• Support decision-making on spending efficiency, promotions, and channel strategies.
• Influence stakeholders to ensure profitability and ROI-driven decisions.
• Provide financial insights to support business initiatives and strategic planning.
• Oversee month-end closing for trade and marketing expenses.
• Review and validate accruals for completeness and accuracy.
• Ensure proper financial governance and compliance with policies.
• Monitor spending discipline and prevent budget leakage.
• Lead monthly Rolling Forecast (RFC) and full-year outlook.
• Align forecast with commercial strategy, latest estimate, and market trends.
• Identify risks and opportunities and drive corrective actions.
• Ensure alignment between Budget, RFC, and actual performance.
• Analyze trade and marketing spend effectiveness, brand and channel profitability, and optimize A&P and commercial spending to improve ROI and efficiency.
• Drive automation of reporting and forecasting tools; improve workflow processes; enhance data accuracy, efficiency, and transparency.

Key Responsibilities

Strategic Business Partnering

Act as a trusted finance partner to Commercial, Trade Marketing, and Marketing teams.
