Job summary

Suntory Beverage & Health Enrichment is seeking an Assistant Commercial Finance Manager in Malaysia to partner with Sales and Marketing in driving performance through FP&A, pricing analysis, and trade spend management. You will contribute to annual planning, rolling forecasts, and cross-functional initiatives, delivering insights to improve profitability and growth.

The role reports to the Commercial Finance Manager and offers exposure to regional and local stakeholders in a dynamic consumer

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a professional qualification (ACCA, CPA, CIMA).
• 2–4 years of experience in commercial finance, FP&A, or a related role.
• Strong analytical, financial modelling, and advanced Excel skills.
• Ability to interpret financial data and translate insights into business recommendations.
• Experience in FMCG or consumer healthcare industries is an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing to evaluate promotional effectiveness.
• Assist in trade investment analysis and ROI evaluation.
• Support pricing analysis and portfolio optimization per guidelines.
• Track and analyze channel and brand performance against targets and forecasts.
• Prepare and manage AOP, MTP, rolling forecasts, and IBP inputs.
• Monitor A&P spending versus budget and accrue trade investments.

About your role

As an Assistant Commercial Finance Manager, you will partner closely with Sales and Marketing teams to drive business performance through financial planning, forecasting, analysis, and commercial insights. You will support decision-making by evaluating business opportunities, monitoring financial performance, managing trade investments and A&P spend, and contributing to strategic initiatives that help deliver sustainable growth.

What You’ll Do

Commercial Finance

- Collaborate with Sales, Marketing, and Trade Marketing to evaluate promotional effectiveness and ensure alignment with strategic priorities.

- Assist in trade investment analysis and ROI evaluation.

- Support pricing analysis and portfolio optimization in line with regional and global guidelines.

Business Performance Management

- Track and analyze channel and brand performance against targets, actuals, and forecasts.

- Highlight risks and opportunities in performance trends and support gap‑closing initiatives.

Forecasting and Planning

- Assist in the development of Annual Operating Plans (AOP), Mid-Term Plan (MTP), Rolling Forecast, Mid‑Month Forecast, coordinating inputs from cross‑functional teams.

- Support monthly reporting submissions in the IBP cycle.

- Prepare relevant, timely management information to equip the operators with the information required to make business decisions.

Trade Spend and A&P Management/Month-end Closing

- Work closely with Marketing and Trade Marketing to monitor A&P spending versus budget, last year, and KPIs.

- Complete accruals for trade investments and A&P. Ensure timely and accurate recognition of accruals.

Ad Hoc Projects and Cross-Functional Collaboration

- Participate in cross‑functional initiatives to improve financial processes and business outcomes.

- Manage ad hoc requests from the Commercial Finance Manager and contribute to team‑wide transformation projects
