Qualifications

• Certificate, Diploma or equivalent in Accounting/Finance preferred.
• Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, bank reconciliation and financial reporting.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems.
• Detail-oriented, organized, trustworthy and able to maintain confidentiality.

To assist the Treasurer in managing the organisation's financial transactions, maintaining accurate financial records, monitoring income and expenditure, and ensuring timely financial reporting and reconciliation.

Key responsibilities

Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documents.

Prepare monthly income and expenditure reports for review.

Assist in preparing financial summaries and reports for management or committee meetings.

Monitor and record income received through various collection channels.

Reconcile collection reports against bank statements and accounting records.

Identify and follow up on discrepancies, missing transactions, and unallocated collections.

Prepare the monthly bank reconciliation report for all designated bank accounts.

Reconcile bank statements against the cash book and accounting records.

Verify payment requests, invoices, and supporting documents.

Monitor expenses against approved budgets.

About you

Certificate, Diploma, or equivalent qualification in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is preferred.

Basic knowledge of bookkeeping, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic accounting systems.

Detail-oriented, organised, trustworthy, and responsible.

Able to maintain confidentiality and work collaboratively with the Treasurer and committee members.
