Job summary

Pasar Raya Matahari, a premier retail and wholesale supermarket operator in the Klang Valley, seeks an Assistant Supervisor to oversee daily department operations, ensure product freshness and proper labeling, and assist with stock ordering and receiving.

The role requires 1–2 years in supermarket or food handling, basic food safety knowledge, and strong communication. You will train new staff and uphold hygiene while supporting shifts, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (certificate or diploma in food handling, retail, or hospitality preferred).
• 1–2 years of experience in supermarket or food handling (fresh/frozen/seafood/meat section preferred).
• Basic knowledge of food safety standards and product handling.
• Good communication, teamwork, and time management skills.
• Physically fit and able to work in cold environments.
• Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
