Job summary

Longchamp is seeking an Assistant Store Manager at Johor Premium Outlets, Malaysia. As deputy to the Store Manager, you will help drive sales, deliver an exceptional customer experience, and lead the team in daily operations.

You will support sales targets, coach staff, manage inventory and merchandising, and ensure brand standards. Fluency in English and Bahasa Malaysia is required; weekend and public holiday hours apply.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of retail experience, preferably in luxury or premium retail.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.

Assistant Store Manager

Mission

As an Ambassador of Maison Longchamp, the Assistant Store Manager supports the Store Manager in driving sales performance, delivering an exceptional customer experience, leading the team, and ensuring smooth day-to-day store operations. The role serves as the Store Manager's deputy and assumes responsibility for the store in the Manager's absence.

Position Summary:

The Assistant Store Manager is the Store Manager's second-in-command, with responsibility for supporting sales performance, people management, inventory control, and operational execution while ensuring Longchamp's brand standards and customer experience are consistently upheld.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Customer Experience

• Support the achievement of store sales targets and KPIs.
• Lead by example through active selling and excellent product knowledge.
• Deliver a personalized and memorable customer experience.
• Develop customer loyalty through effective clienteling and CRM usage.
• Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally.

Team Leadership

• Support the Store Manager in coaching, motivating, and developing the team.
• Conduct daily briefings and communicate sales priorities.
• Ensure service standards, product knowledge, and grooming standards are maintained.
• Assist with onboarding, training, scheduling, and daily team supervision.

Store Operations

• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Oversee opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and daily reporting.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and organized store environment.
• Take charge of store operations when the Store Manager is absent.

Inventory & Merchandising

• Support stock management, replenishment, transfers, and inventory accuracy.
• Participate in stock counts and investigate inventory discrepancies.
• Ensure stockroom organization and product availability.
• Maintain visual merchandising standards in accordance with Longchamp guidelines.

Requirements

• Minimum 3 years of retail experience, preferably in luxury or premium retail.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Strong sales, customer service, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to motivate and coach a team.
• Organized, hands-on, and detail-oriented.
• Fluent in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Additional language skills are an advantage.
• Willing to work retail hours, including weekends and public holidays.
