Job summary

3M in Penang, Malaysia, is seeking an experienced sales professional to drive growth in adhesives and tape solutions. You will build and manage relationships with customers, identify opportunities, and demonstrate product applications to close deals.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in manufacturing/industrial sales, strong English and Mandarin, and the ability to travel within Malaysia. This is a permanent, onsite role based in Penang.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Science (Chemical, Industrial or Engineering) or equivalent.
• 5-8 years sales experience in manufacturing/industrial environment with good network.
• Self-starter with high motivation and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Highly independent, creative, and able to work under pressure.
• Good analytical and presentation skills, proficient in English and Mandarin.
• Possess own transport with valid driving license; willing to travel outstation at least twice per quarter within Malaysia.

Responsibilities

• Meet designated sales targets; generate qualified opportunities and win new opportunities within target timeframes.
• Develop deep understanding of 3M's adhesive and tape products, including features, benefits and applications.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and potential customers; understand needs and provide solutions.
• Analyze market trends and competitor activities to identify new business opportunities.
• Provide technical support and product demonstrations to customers; ensure understanding of applications and benefits.
• Collaborate with key stakeholders to drive customer solutions.
• Maintain time management and provide monthly updates on sales activities, demand forecast and competitors.
